The production of our cake necessitates a very slow process.
In fact it actually takes four days to produce it: one day to soak the raisins in rum, half a day to prepare the batter (must be prepared several times in order not to crush the fruit and to ensure an even spreading throughout the cake), half a day to prepare the cakes for baking, and a minimum of two days is necessary to let the cakes air out before packaging. This long preparation is necessary in order to ensure a soft moist cake center and a golden brown crust as well as a rich fruit flavor.
